Here is the original size of the face, used as a thumbnail. It is only 103x114 pixels.

And here it is resampled 8x to 824x928

Please note that although there is no substitute for getting the image at a higher resolution, you can resample to a suprising degree.

You can also use the Bitmaps/Resample to speed printing if you imported very large bitmaps that you then click-dragged to a smaller size. Same steps, except I suggest a DPI of around 100 to 200dpi for T-shirt imprinting, 200 to 300dpi for printing on high res paper or photo paper.
